Notion

Purpose

Narrow-use only. Per [[tool-selection-policy-v1.0]], Obsidian is the default canonical home for all content. Notion is used only for 4 specific exceptions: external editor collaboration, external read-only sharing (ongoing), mobile-heavy capture from non-technical users, and one-off ephemeral documents.

How we use it

Currently minimal. The bulk of wiki, governance, and operational content lives in the /Claude/ Obsidian vault. Notion is reserved for collaboration scenarios where an external user needs to edit with Rick.

Setup & credentials

MCP server installed (mcp__claude_ai_Notion__*). OAuth via Claude Code.

Owner

chief.staff — routing decisions per the Tool Selection Policy. Any content headed for Notion requires a Tool Selection Policy exception justification.

  • [[tool-selection-policy-v1.0]] — defines the 4 narrow exceptions
  • [[obsidian]] — primary wiki (different role)
  • [[CLAUDE]] — the governance constitution lives in Obsidian, not here

Notes

The no-duplication rule applies strictly. Never mirror content between Obsidian and Notion. Any exception use is temporary — when the collaboration closes, content migrates back to Obsidian as canonical.
